To help your little artists bring these new pages to life, try teaching them these fun, nature-inspired coloring techniques:
* Creating Glowing Glass: Several of our new pages feature glass globes or terrariums. To make the glass look shiny, round, and realistic, have your child leave a small white circle or a curved white line uncolored near the top edge. This acts as a "highlight" reflecting the sun! Blend light blues, tiny touches of yellow, and whites for a magical transparent effect. * Layering Natural Greens: Nature is never just one flat shade of green! Encourage kids to layer different colored pencils or crayons. Use bright yellow-greens for fresh spring saplings and darker forest greens for older leaves and shaded areas.
